Troop 147 Eagle Scout Robert Cooper Completes a Service Project at Northampton Civic Center

Robert Cooper's Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project benefited Northampton Township. Working with their Recreation Committee, Robert led a project that included improved the safety of those using Northampton Civic Center 270 Baseball Field. He designed and installed a fence and landscaping to prevent parking near the team dugouts and pedestrian traffic. He was able to donate over $300 in excess funds raised to the Northampton Parks and Recreation Department at the end of the project.

Along his trail to Eagle Robert has served his troop in several leadership positions including Quartermaster, Patrol Leader for new scouts, Outdoor Senior Patrol Leader; he is currently serving as Senior Patrol Leader. Robert is a member of Order of the Arrow Ajapeu Lodge. Highlights of his experience in scouts include a 2014 visit to Philmont Scout Ranch where he hiked 110 miles in the mountains of New Mexico and a 2015 trip to Sea Base in Florida where he joined his crew diving on the reefs in the area.

The son of Beth Cooper-Wold of Richboro and Bob Cooper of Warminster, Robert is a member of the Council Rock High School South class of 2017. He has been a member of the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society and National German Honor Society. He has earned varsity letters for his participation in the school’s Wrestling and Football programs while maintaining a 4.3 GPA.
