Troop 147 Eagle Scout Stephen Jennings Completes a Project to "Pay Back" to Churchville Nature Center

Troop 147 Eagle Scout Stephen Jennings completes a signage project at the Churchville Nature Center.

Churchville Nature Center is the beneficiary of Stephen Jennings’ Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project. He led a team to build and install informational and directional signs for the nature center. Stephen wanted to give back to the Churchville Nature Center because he feels they provide an important service to the Boy Scouts and the community. He has visited there many times, first as a student at Holland Elementary school and later with his troop when he worked on merit badges there.

Stephen has held various positions in his troop on his trail to Eagle including Scribe, Assistant Patrol Leader, Historian and Instructor. His favorite activities in scouts have included backpacking at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico, high adventure camping at Blue Ridge Scout Reservation in Virginia, and the monthly troop weekend camping and hiking trips. He attended summer camp at Ockanickon, Sinoquipe, and Tuckahoe Scout Reservations.

The son of Steve and Laura of Holland, Stephen is a member of the Council Rock High School South class of 2016. In addition to camping and hiking, Steve enjoys skiing and basketball. He will study Accounting on Pennsylvania State University’s Abington Campus in the fall.
