Tell us what should fill the empty store fronts throughout Northampton Township.

The former Mill Race Inn building located on Buck Road in Holland, across the street from Johnny Apples Restaurant & bar is vacant.

The building was previously used as a reception hall for special events, but hasn't been in use since 2001.

The structure of the building was heavily damaged by flooding in Sept. 1999, was restored and reopened the following year, but suffered extensive damage again in July 2001 after the dam next to Mill Race broke, according to an article on Bucks Local News. The family who owned the restaurant at the time didn't have funds to fix the building so it remained closed. In 2003 the building was purchased with the hopes of restoring it as an upscale restaurant again, but the article said those plans never came to fruition.
