The Churchville Nature Center is part of the Bucks County Department of Parks and Recreation, providing education, preservation, and conservation. It is surrounded by meadows, marsh, woodlands, a pond, and a lake, all within an easy walk.
The Center was launched in 1964, with its headquarters in an old farmhouse. Later in 1976, the facilities were expanded to include a modern visitor center, which houses an auditorium, exhibit area, gift shop, staff offices, and a nature library.
Along with the visitor center, the grounds also include two miles of nature trails, a bird observation blind, wildlife gardens, and a re-created 1500's era Lenape Indian Village.
