'World Of Weather Weekend' In The Forecast For Bucks County

CHURCHVILLE, PA — A World of Weather Weekend is forecast to settle in this weekend at the Churchville Nature Center in Northampton Township.

On Saturday, Jan. 31 and Sunday, Feb. 1, families, adults, and children are invited to learn about the weather - including our current frigid and snowy winter season - at a fun, family-friendly event held both days from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This year, visitors can meander through the nature center’s rooms and experience weather-themed displays, experiments, games, crafts and other hands-on activities. Visitors can also practice their TV weather forecasting skills in front of the nature center’s “green screen.”

“Our World of Weather Weekend is an annual winter tradition for many families and groups,” said Megan Keller, the public events and summer camp coordinator at the nature center. “We use discovery and hands-on science to give families and youth memorable and lively opportunities to learn together about basic weather phenomenon.”

Admission is $6 per person at the door, and registration is not required.

Churchville Nature Center is an environmental education facility of the Bucks County Department of Parks. It is located on a 65-acre nature preserve adjacent to the Churchville Reservoir in Northampton Township.

The popular nature center turned 60 years old in 2024 and is known for its two miles of scenic trails, colorful gardens, exhibit-filled visitor center, family events, school and scout programs, Pleiades Observatory, Butterfly House, nature walks, summer camps, Lenape Village and much more.
