Wreath Ceremony Held Despite the Rain

Northampton Township's 2022 Hometown Heroes Wreath Laying Ceremony honoring First Responders and Military laid to rest at the Union Cemetery

At the end of this article there is a link to the YouTube video of the Northampton Township Veterans Advisory Commission’s 2022 Hometown Heroes Wreath Laying Ceremony honoring First Responders and Military laid to rest at the Union Cemetery located 209 Almshouse Rd., Richboro, PA. The event took place 11:00AM December 3, 2022 and although there was heavy rainfall the event still took place with close to 100 people in attendance. Color Guard and Firing Squad were provided by the Marine Corps League Patriot Detachment 1230, Master of Ceremonies was Kristin Reilly, invocation by Chaplain Doug Fulford and the keynote speaker was Northampton Police Chief Steve LeCompte. The wreaths were placed at the headstones marked with an American flag. Special acknowledgements to the Veterans Advisory Commission, Northampton Supervisors and Public Works Employees Paul Dukes and Brett Prazych who helped make the event possible under bad weather conditions.
