No Voter Id Needed to Vote in Nov. 6th Election

Any registered Pennsylvania voter can vote in the Nov. 6th Presidential election, whether or not they have a voter ID card.  This was the result of a recent ruling by Commonwealth Court Judge Robert Simpson who said poll workers in the state can ask for the voter id card, but it will not be needed to vote.

The ruling allows voters to vote on Election Day (Nov. 6), vote absentee or in early voting, no matter whether they have a voter id card.

However, the tougher new id law was upheld by the judge as constitutional and may take effect after the election, pending any legal obstacles.
