Burglary Update: No Arrests a Week After a Rash of Break-Ins

Ross Township police continue to search for suspects.

Ross Township police have spent a lot of extra time in several neighborhoods in the vicinity of the Shoppes at Northway, where a burglar or burglars struck four times within a week, and it appears to be paying off.

Since the increased patrols, there have been no reports of any additional break-ins. However, there also have been no arrests.

The series of break-ins began on Oct. 17 in a home on Babcock Boulevard. Three others followed:

  • Entry was made by forcing rear doors or windows open.
  • The burglar(s) appear to be looking for jewelry.
  • All occurred between 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Even though there have not been any break-ins in the past week, Ross Police ask that residents remain vigilant:

  • Report any suspicious persons or vehicles in your neighborhood.
  • Look for people in the rear or side yards of homes, or knocking on any door of a house for no obvious reason.
  • Keep homes locked and jewelry secured, or at the very least, out of sight.
  • Call 9-1-1 immediately if you see anything suspicious.
