Celebrate Life, Celebrate Art is Persad Center's premiere fund-raising event. Now in its 24th year, this annual art auction has succesffully generated over $3.5 million to benefit Persad Center's specialized counseling, HIV prevention, outreach, education, training and advocacy services.
This year's event, which will be held on Monday, May 14, 2012 at the August Wilson Center for African American Culture, will draw over 1,800 people and feature more than 225 works of art by regionally and nationally recognized artists. The evening includes verbal and silent auctions, dining and beverage service, specialty coffees and desserts, and a variety of popular entertainment. This event promises to attract a diverse crowd including business and community leaders, regional artists, and professionals of all ages.
