The Allegheny County Parks Department announced that holiday tours of the Hartwood Mansion will begin on Nov. 19, and continue through Jan. 9. Tours are held Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4:00 p.m.
Hartwood’s stately Tudor mansion was designed by Alfred Hopkins for John and Mary Flinn Lawrence and built in 1929. The mansion houses an excellent collection of original English and American antiques. Its 16th Century architectural design affords visitors a glimpse into a part of Pittsburgh’s past. Every room in the mansion is decorated for the holiday season.
