Registration for the Annual Northland Public Library Chess Tournament for children in Kindergarten through 8th Grade begins this month.
February 1 - registration for residents of Bradford Woods, Franklin Park, Marshall, McCandless and Ross Townships
February 6 - open registration for residents of Allegheny County

You may register in person at the Children's/Young Adult Services desk on the lower level of the Library or by calling 412-366-8100, extension 123. There is no fee to participate.
The tournament will take place on Saturday, February 23, beginning at 9:00am. Children will play in two divisions: Kindergarten through Fourth Grade and Fifth through Eighth Grade. Medals will be awarded to the first and second place winners in each division. The first place winners will go on to represent Northland in the countywide finals in March.
