Flood Warning Expires

Heavy rains have moved out of the North Hills area.

A flood warning issued by the National Weather Service has now expired, after more than an inch of rain fell in some parts of Allegheny County late Thursday afternoon, the Pittsburgh Post Gazette reported.

In Ross Township, Girty's Run, which has been prone to flooding, was running fast and high, but did not go over its banks.

There were reports of flooding on Route 51 at Lewis Run Road in Pleasant Hills, the Post Gazette reported.

The weather service is also investigating the possibility that a tornado might have touched down in Eighty-Four, Washington County, according to KDKA-TV.
