Mt. Troy Road Extension Closure In Ross Delayed

A portion of the road was supposed to close on Tuesday. Find out here how long the closure has been postponed.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA — A section of the 4400 block of Mt. Troy Road Extension that was supposed to close Tuesday will remain open for the rest of the week. The closure, expected to last for about three months, now will occur on Sept. 13.

The delay was caused by a lack of available equipment, according to Allegheny County's Department of Public Works.

The closure is necessary to build a support wall and install slope erosion protection and a guide rail. Roadway, curb and drainage repairs also are part of the $582,000 project.
