North Hills School District Addresses Coronavirus Concerns
The school district is detailing what it's doing before the expected COVID-19 outbreak occurs in western Pennsylvania.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - North Hills School District is detailing how it is addressing the coronavirus outbreak that is expected to bring confirmed cases of COVID-19 to the Pittsburgh area in the near future.
While no known cases of COVID-19 have appeared in Pennsylvania, the district announced in a release that teachers and school nurses are reinforcing the behaviors that can prevent germs from spreading in district buildings. They include:
- Covering coughs or sneezes with your elbow or a tissue. Do not use your hands.
- Washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
- Cleaning surfaces frequently, including countertops, light switches, cell phones, remotes and other frequently touched items
District custodians will also continue to disinfect and clean all desks, door knobs and other touch surfaces in our schools daily. The district uses hospital-grade disinfectant chemicals that are classified as such by the Environmental Protection Agency.
