Police Investigate Four Break-Ins Within a Week in Concentrated Area of Ross Township
All of the break-ins occurred within a mile of each other.
Ross Township police are investigating four burglaries or attempted burglaries in the past week, all within a mile of each other.
"There was a break-in on Wednesday, Oct. 17 on Babcock Boulevard near Browns Lane, then on Saturday, Oct. 20 on Pinewood Terrace, then Tuesday Oct. 23 on Marie Drive," said Detective Brian Kohlhepp. "The most recent was Wednesday afternoon on Swan Drive."

In all four instances, very little, if anything was taken, and all of the break-ins occurred in the middle of the day.
"That's the great misconception, that burglars break into homes in the middle of the night," said Kohlhepp. "It's just the opposite, they like to work during the day, when most people are at work. Burglars will instead break into commercial establishments late at night, when no one is around."

Kohlhepp said the burglaries should serve as a reminder to homeowners to keep their doors and windows locked when not at home, and if you see anything the least bit suspicious, call 911 right away.
