Ross Woman Overcome by Fumes in North Hills Estates Neighborhood

Firefighters say the woman became ill after mixing two cleaning chemicals.

A woman was overcome by fumes Friday morning inside a home on Woodland Terrace in the North Hills estates neighborhood.

"The woman apparently mixed two common household cleaning products and then started to feel sick," said Eric Wissner, chief of the .

Paramedics took the woman to the hospital to be checked out.

"She just accidently put the wrong cleaning chemicals together," said Scott Garing, Supervisor, . "We took her to the hospital as a precaution, but she appears to be fine." 

Garing said the incident is a teachable moment for everyone.

"Just be cautious of what you put together. It's obviously a chemical and you have to be careful," he said. "They could mix wrong and cause all types of reactions, just depending on the type of chemical it is.

"It's always best to read the label first," he added. They usually tell you if what not to mix it with."
