West View Elementary Student's Threat Prompts Police Probe
Principal Jesse Simpson notified the school's community of the incident Friday.

WEST VIEW, PA - A West View Elementary School student sent a threatening message to other students outside of school this week, principal Jesse Simpson disclosed Friday. School officials became aware of the threat and summoned West View Police to investigate.
Simpson would not identify the nature of the threat or the student who made it, citing privacy concerns and the ongoing probe. But he said in an email to school families, “We respond to threats of this nature with utmost seriousness and we will be working hand-in-hand with local law enforcement on this investigation moving forward.”
Noting that the North Hills School District has a zero tolerance policy for threatening language or acts, Simpson said discipline for those who engage in such behaviors face disciplinary action that could include suspension or expulsion.
