• Body Found In Burned Van Ruled Suicide In Oley: Coroner (dailyvoice.com) — Authorities have ruled that a 69-year-old Oley Township resident found in a burned van on Friedensburg Road died by suicide from thermal burns and smoke inhalation. The Berks County Coroner’s Office, Central Berks Police, state fire marshal, and Oley Fire Company all assisted in the May 26 response and investigation. 
• Flowers, tributes pour in for Berks County police officer killed in line of duty (local21news.com) — Oley EMS crews were among the first responders to the Earl Township crash that killed Central Berks Police Officer Kristen Yeager while she was answering an emergency call. Local residents and agencies are now honoring her with roadside memorials, a tribute police cruiser, and a meal-train effort supporting her grieving colleagues and family.
