• Despite public outcry, council votes 5-2 to disband Oxford's local police force (delcotimes.com) — Oxford Borough Council has voted 5–2 to disband the town's 100-year-old local police department and pursue regional policing with the Southern Chester County Regional force, despite strong public opposition. Residents, officers, and local leaders packed Monday's meeting in Oxford, voicing concerns about losing local control, the future of roughly 16 officers, and what this change means for safety in the borough.
