Forks Takes Another Stab at Future Financial Plan
Second meeting on Forks Township's future financial plan scheduled for Thursday night.

"We've got to get our finances in shape."
It's a statement made by Forks Township Supervisor Dan Martyak at a recent Board of Supervisors meeting and one that you hear among officials these days and also over the past few months.
It's why you find Martyak and Supervisor Bob Egolf questioning the spending of every dollar, dime, nickel and penny as Forks deals with debt of more than $9 million and looming tax increases if it doesn't get its financial house in order.

On Thursday night, at its monthly work session, Forks officials will once again discuss formulating the township's future financial plan.
It's the only item on the agenda for the 7 p.m. meeting in the chambers of the Forks Township municipal building.

A prior meeting was canceled due to the illness of Finance Director Jim Farley.
"There's an elephant in the room," Egolf recently stated at a Board of Supervisors meeting. "And that is our financial crisis. Right now, it really worries me."
Forks Township officials have struggled with what to do regarding its financial outlook.
Township officials passed on passing a tax increase to residents for 2013 with some supervisors saying that was the wrong decision.
