Jewelry Store Theft in Palmer

Police seek suspect after Beverly Palm Jewelers in Palmer Township was robbed Saturday morning.

The Palmer Township Police Department is investigating a burglary and theft at Beverly Palm Jewelers, 3750 William Penn Highway, which occurred at 5 a.m. Saturday.

In reviewing the video surveillance of the burglary Saturday morning and the video surveillance on Friday, while the business was open, a person of interest to the investigation was developed.

The suspect was a customer who was in the business on Friday, just after opening, police said in a press release issued Saturday night.

This person was paying particular attention to several of the jewelry cases and also was observed taking a picture of one of the cases.

The person stated his name was John to an employee, police said.

Police did not disclosed what was taken in the robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male, 195-210 pounds, athletic workout build, 25-35 years old, dark clean cut hair, medium sideburns, nickel-size gauges in both ears.
