Palmer Plans Fire Prevention Program

October's arrival is a reason to get fired up.

But Palmer Township's Fire Department wants to ensure that those are the only fires you'll deal with.

In honor of Fire Prevention Week, the fire department will hold an open house Oct. 7 to educate the public about fire safety.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to to 2 p.m. at the fire station at Route 248 and Crest Boulevard.

A press release states that food and drinks will be available, fire apparatus will be on display, officials will show fire safety videos and a firefighter will answer all safety questions.
