Police: Woman Calls in Fake Prescriptions to Walgreens
Forks Township police say Renee Simone of Stockertown claimed to be working for a doctor and called in prescriptions to Walgreens.
A Stockertown woman was jailed yesterday after allegedly trying to get drugs from a pharmacy by claiming she was a doctor's assistant.
According to Forks police, Renee Simone, 34, of 104 Main St., Apt. 27, left a voicemail with the , saying she worked for a doctor.
Police say Simone called in prescriptions for two patients, requesting Ambien, Vicodin, and birth control.

Court records say the doctor in question said he hadn't asked Simone – who wasn't his employee – to call in prescriptions. When confronted by police, Simone allegedly admitted to requesting fake prescriptions.
She was charged with attempting to acquire, obtain, or possess a controlled substance through misrepresenation, fraud or deception. Simone was arraigned before in , and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $35,000 bail.
