Portrait & Figure Drawing

In this course, we will be covering portraiture and figure drawing techniques. This includes accurately measuring proportions, creating form through light and shadow, and how to draw features. Working from images, plaster casts, and live models, we will build our techniques to create accurate drawings. Topics will range from light/shadow, gesture, proportion, features, getting a likeness, etc. Having a basic foundation in drawing is preferred. This class can be repeated for further development of skills

In this six week course, there will be a minimum of three live model days. If enrollment permits, we will have four days with live models.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a one-time model fee ranging from $20–$60. This fee is based on enrollment and the fee due will be emailed to you a few days prior to class. This can be paid directly to Cassie via cash, check, PayPal, or Venmo on or before the first class.
