Area Businesses Express Gratitude Toward Veterans

It's on the house for active or former service members

"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them," - President John Fitzgerald Kennedy.

Today is Veterans Day, a day when we salute the courage, bravery and sacrifices of our men and women in uniform from generations past and present. Without their resilience, heroism and bloodshed, we wouldn't have the freedoms and liberties our great country has bestowed upon us.

From the most successful of people to those who currently find themselves struggling, it's important to recognize that millions of troops who you'll never meet have-- and will-- put their lives on the line for your safety and freedom.

Every day should be Veterans Day, but the 11th of November is a day when we collectively thank those who uphold the Constitution and defend our way of life. If a there's a family member who has served their country, call them and thank them.  If there's a neighbor who fought for our freedom, walk over and shake their hand. If there's no one, then simply look at the flag and remember that there always has been someone.
