Parish Choir – AUGUSTUS LUTHERAN CHURCH

The Augustus community worships in the Lutheran tradition, with a strong emphasis on preaching, hymn-singing, and choral music. The Augustus Parish Choir sings weekly for the 10:30 Sunday morning service of Holy Communion during the academic year and leads worship for additional services during the Christmas and Easter seasons.

The choir includes section leaders and experienced volunteer singers. Choristers from the Chorister Academy at Augustus are trained to sing on a professional level and join these adults to form a cohesive intergenerational choir. The choir’s repertoire embraces music from many different styles and school of composition, ranging from the 16^th century to present day.

Adult singers rehearse on Thursday evenings beginning at 7:00 and on Sunday mornings at 9:30. If you are interested in joining the choir, please contact Dr. Darryl Roland at music@augustustrappe.org.
