Limerick Unit 2 Returned to Full Power

Operators returned Limerick Generating Station Unit 2 to full power Thursday after successfully completing main turbine inspections. During the outage, workers performed comprehensive equipment inspections and replaced one low-pressure turbine blade.
Turbine inspections could not be performed while the unit was generating electricity.

Unit 1 continued to operate at full power during the Unit 2 outage. Limerick Generating Station is located 21 miles northwest of Philadelphia. With both units at full power, the site can produce enough carbon-free electricity for approximately two million homes.
