Perk Valley School Board Candidates to Face Off in Democratic Primary
Six candidates are vying for four positions; there are no challenges on the Republican ticket.

Six candidates are running for four spots on the Democrat ballot for Perkiomen Valley School Board during Tuesday's Primary Election.
Incumbents Lynn K. Bigelow, Lori Snyder and John King are on the Democrat ballot, and will face off against Rachael Charyna and Richard Bouher, Republicans who cross-filed on both tickets, and Alex Rodriguez, a Democrat.

Bigelow has served on the school board for eight years, and currently serves as vice president.
Snyder, current board president, has served the school district for roughly 20 years.

, ran unsuccessfully for Collegeville Borough Council in 2011, and is an attorney.
Bouher is a Republican Committeeman in Perkiomen Township, and Rachael Charyna serves as the Perkiomen Township auditor.
There will be no race on the Republican ballot - Snyder and Bigelow have cross-filed, as well as Richard Bouher and Rachael Charyna, who are not currently on the board.
King's Republican nominating petitions were rejected after being challenged by local Republicans, removing him from the Republican race.
Andrea Galambos and Paul Smith are both running unopposed for two-year terms.
Ann Mantey, Diane Landes and Gerry Barnefiher are not running for re-election again until 2015; current school board member Randy Bennett is not running for re-election.
