We will plan a return to on-site instruction for the week of Jan. 11, presuming we can meet the guidelines of our attestation form, Responding to COVID-19 Case(s) at School. Athletic practices that were scheduled to begin Jan. 4 will also begin Jan. 11.Please note that Tuesday, Jan. 12, will be a half-day/in-service day. Elementary school students will remain virtual and not report to school on this day. Students on the morning schedule will attend class synchronously from 8:40 to 10:25 a.m. and take part in asynchronous learning from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Students on the afternoon schedule will do the reverse. There will be no specials on the half-day and no class activity past 12:15 p.m.Secondary students will follow the traditional half-day schedule, with the day starting at 7:50 and ending at 11:30 a.m. Class periods will be shortened to fit the half-day and there will be no lunch period. Secondary students who are virtual on the half-day may receive asynchronous lesson plans from their teachers for the half-day. Teachers will communicate with each class to inform them of their expectations for the morning. One final calendar change to note: Tuesday, Jan. 26, will be an asynchronous day for high school students only. This is because of PSAT administration occurring in the building. For information about PSAT administration, click here.
