Montco HS Student Named Finalist for Prestigious Science Award
The Regeneron Science Talent Search is one of the most prestigious science competitions for high school students in the country.

A Montgomery County high school student has been named a finalist in the prestigious Regeneron 2017 Science Talent Search.
Perkiomen Valley High School senior Aaron Joseph Yeiser, 18, is one of just 40 finalists, or Scholars, nationwide. He was selected from a list of 300 semi-finalists, and will head to Washington, D.C. in March to compete for a slot in the "final 10."
The final 10, in turn, will battle for the nation's top prize of $250,000.

The Regeneron Science Talent Search (formerly run by Intel) is one of the most prestigious science competitions for high school students in the country. More than 1,700 applicants submitted their projects this year.
Yesier's project was entitled "A Next Generation Partial Differential Equation Solver."

He was the only student from Pennsylvania to be selected as a finalist.
