State Sen. Rafferty to Run for PA Attorney General
Rafferty was re-elected to state legislature last year.

Pennsylvania State Senator John Rafferty Jr. (R-44) will run for the state attorney general's office in 2012, according to a report published at Politics PA.
The political news website said Rafferty informed them of his plans on Monday. Rafferty's potential participation in the race has been a matter of speculation for some time.
Rafferty has been in the PA Senate since 2002 and has easily won re-election twice, most recently in 2010. The 44th District encompasses Pottstown, Limerick, Royersford, Skippack, Collegeville, West Norriton, Worcester and Whitpain, as well as a number of other municipalities in Montgomery, Chester and Berks counties.
