Vikings lose to Wildcats 2-1
Junior Audrey Bonavito shined brightly as Perk Valley takes one more step in growth process
On a frigid October night two years ago, Owen J. Roberts, en route to winning the Pac-10 championship, ended Perkiomen Valley’s season with a lopsided win as they celebrated their senior night at the expense of the Vikings. It was coach Erik Enters's first season at the helm.
Make no mistake, Julie Carfagno, Carli Conners and their fellow Class of 2012 teammates made a mental note.
On Wednesday Perkiomen Valley, fueled by an amazing performance by net minder Audrey Bonavito, was seven minutes away from returning the favor, as they held a 1-0 lead on a goal by Sarah Roos, as they battled the Wildcats for the league championship.

Unfortunately lady luck was wearing the red and white of Owen J. Roberts. A 6-0 penalty corner edge in the second half, along with a stroke being awarded to sniper Corrine Mattia -- who knotted the game when she converted it -- helped propel the Wildcats to their third straight Pioneer Athletic Conference title.
