Boys Varsity Soccer vs. Methacton
The following information was provided by Coach Jerry DeLeo:
In the 35th minute of a game on a sunny and warm day in Royersford, the Methacton Warriors stole a 2-1 road win against the Golden Pathers of PJP. DoYoung Kwak opened the scoring in the 25th minute on a rocket into the upper 90 from 25 yards out to open the scoring for Methacton. But just 5 minutes later, Ryan Ianovale scored on a low hard cross from Brendan Csongradi to tie things up. Unfortunately for The Golden Panthers, this deadlock lasted just 5 minutes until fate smiled on The Warriors Andrew Goff who caught a PJP defender tracking an attacker back to his own net. The cross was struck hard and the PJP defender simply couldn’t get out of the way which put the Warriors ahead to stay. PJP’s Alex Plate made several nice saves among his game total of 5 including a diving tip over the net and the collection of multiple would be breakaways. This gives Methacton their first PAC 10 win of the season and leaves PJP 1-5 in the PAC 10.
