Led by a lactation consultant, Introduction to Breastfeeding is designed to facilitate a woman’s choice to breastfeed. The “why and how” of breastfeeding are discussed, along with emphasis on positioning baby, latching on, breast care, the father’s role, returning to work and breastfeeding challenges. Participants are given the opportunity to ask questions, as well as view breast pumps, nursing bras and additional nursing accessories. Classes offered monthly.
