'Idol' Adam Brock Has a Hot Diggity Dog Day
Former 'American Idol' contestant Adam Brock covered Perry Como's 'Mambo,' and sang 'Happy Birthday' directly to Como's statue in Canonsburg to celebrate the crooner's 100th birthday.
The two-day, , Hot Diggity Dog Days, ended with a bang as former "American Idol" contestant and Washington County native and his band rocked out with a variety of songs for the celebration.
Brock was one of the many highlights at in . Perry Como fans came from far and wide to celebrate the centennial of the crooner's birth.
The former idol opened with Aretha Franklin's "Think," energizing his crowd as he belted it out. He followed with one of Como's hits, "Mambo," which got the crowd dancing.

Brock sang "Happy Birthday" to Como. He directed the audience to sing to Como's statue, which was festooned in his party attire, a festive hat and a flowered lei.

Nadeen Steffey, one of the event coordinators, said, "The whole weekend has been wonderful. Since the cake-cutting (the opening event) all the way to this (Brock's performance). We are celebrating Canonsburg's musical heritage."
