Melissa Sarnicke, a junior at Washington & Jefferson College, was crowned Miss Peters Township 2013 in the Miss Pittsburgh Pageant Preliminaries. During her reign, she has been involved in many community events, including fundraisers, food drives, fashion shows and parades. Sarnicke will compete September 22 in the Miss Pittsburgh Pageant at the Sheraton Hotel, Station Square. Her parents are Sam and Sandra Sarnicke of McMurray, and her sponsor is Opeka Auto Repair Company.
