Viewfinder – It's Prom Night in Peters!

Not long after the Spring Carnival, you could find many Peters Township High School students at the Crossroad Florists on East McMurray as the kids geared up for their big night.

Debbie Carso owner of the flower shop said, “I love seeing the girls come in with their hair and nails done. It’s a really fun day.”

Carso had hundreds of local teens stop in for corsages, boutonnieres and nosegays (a miniature bouquet).

Later in the day, the snazzy dressed boys and beautiful girls congregated at the Hilton Garden Inn at Southpointe for the evening. There was even a red-carpet event, just like in Hollywood, where the kids posed for pictures as joyful parents played paparazzi and snapped photos of the glamorous gowns and tasteful tuxedos.

Kevin Redford of Redford Photography snapped pictures of the Prom goers and Mark Zini of Zini Productions spun a variety of tunes in an elegantly appointed ballroom at the Hilton.

The kids were ready for a fun night, blowing off steam after a long school year.
