1 Killed In Shootout In Philadelphia Parking Lot Thursday Night

A man was killed during a shootout in the parking lot of a Northeast Philadelphia ShopRite Thursday night, and the gunman is cooperating.

PHILADELPHIA — One person was killed in a shootout Thursday night at a Northeast Philadelphia grocery store parking lot.

The incident occurred at about 10:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the ShopRite at Harbison Avenue and Tulip Street, according to NBC10.

Police said the victim showed up to the parking lot with at least one other man.

They met with two to three other men, and at some point guns were drawn and bullet started flying, police said.

The victim, who was in his late teen to early 20s and was pronounced dead at the scene, was found with a semiautomatic gun next to him, Fox 29 reports.

The alleged gunman stayed at the scene and is cooperating with authorities, according to Action News.
