$100K-Winning Lottery Ticket Sold At Philadelphia Business

A Powerball with Power Play ticket sold at a Philly business matched all five balls drawn Monday, including the red Powerball 5.

PHILADELPHIA — A Pennsylvania Lottery player in Philadelphia is $100,000 richer, according to lottery officials.

The Pennsylvania Lottery said a Powerball with Power Play ticket good for $100,000 was sold at Mike’s Newstand Inc., 2644 South Broad & Oregon Avenue.

Officials said the ticket matched four of the five white balls drawn, 9-25-27-53-66, and the red Powerball 5 on Monday to win $100,000, less applicable withholding.

Without the $1 Power Play option, the ticket would have been worth $50,000.

Mike’s Newstand Inc. earns a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Winners are not known until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated. Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.

Winning tickets purchased at a Lottery retailer should immediately be signed on the back.

Online winnings automatically appear in a player’s account after the claim has been processed.
