$10K Reward Offered For Info On Dog Shootings In Philadelphia
The Pennsylvania SPCA is offering the reward money for information on two dog shootings, one fatal, in the city last week.

PHILADELPHIA — After two dogs were shot last week in West Philadelphia, one fatally, and the Pennsylvania SPCA is offering a sizable reward for information on both incidents.
The shootings occurred in the Kingsessing neighborhood.
In one shooting, the dog was able to crawl to a nearby porch, where a Good Samaritan found her and got her into PSPCA custody for care.

That dog, now named Alexia, had to have one of her front legs amputated due to the severe damage from the gunshots.
She is in stable condition, the PSPCA said.

Alexia was found on March 27.
Then on March 29, a dog was found dead from gunshots just a few blocks from where Alexia was found, according to the PSPCA.
That dog, who was discovered inside a trash bag on the 6000 block of Allman Street.
Authorities believe the shootings are related due to their locations.
"The details of what happened to Alexia and this second dog are still being revealed. We know that there are people out there with knowledge of what occurred," Nicole Wilson, PSPCA Director of Humane Law Enforcement, said. "Cases like this don’t usually stop with one or two victims unless someone steps up and says something. If you saw something; now it’s time to say something."
The $10,000 reward is being provided by an anonymous donor for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the shootings.
