$150K-Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In Philadelphia

Without the $1 Power Play option, the Powerball ticket would have been worth $100,000 less, Pennsylvania Lottery officials said.

PHILADELPHIA — A Philadelphia business recently sold a Powerball with Power Play ticket that was good for $150,000, Pennsylvania Lottery officials said.

According to officials, the ticket matched four of the five white balls drawn, 9-31-39-40-45, and the red Powerball 23 to win $150,000, less applicable withholding, in Monday's drawing.

Without the $1 Power Play option, the ticket would have been worth $50,000. The Power Play multiplier drawn was three.

It was sold by TNT Food Market, 5801 Market St. in Philadelphia.

The market will earn a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Winners are not known until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated.

Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes. Winning tickets purchased at a Lottery retailer should immediately be signed on the back. Online winnings automatically appear in a player’s account after the claim has been processed. Players may visit the lottery's website for more information about how to file a claim.

More than 17,800 other PA Lottery Powerball tickets won prizes of various amounts in the drawing, including more than 3,800 tickets purchased with Power Play and more than 2,200 tickets purchased with Double Play.
