18-Year-Old Killed By Police After Hitting 2 Troopers With Vehicle: Authorities
Both troopers suffered minor injuries, according to state police, who are investigating the incident.
PHILADELPHIA — An 18-year-old from Glen Mills was shot and killed overnight by state police, who said the teen hit two troopers with his vehicle, according to authorities.
Anthony Allegrini Jr. died after troopers responded around 3:30 a.m. Sunday to a report of numerous vehicles and people in the roadway and racing on southbound Interstate 95 at mile marker 21 near Penn’s Landing, state police said.
When they arrived, the troopers found “a significant number” of vehicles illegally blocking the road as well as doing “burnouts” and “drifting,” according to police, who said similar incidents had been reported earlier, as had gunshots.

The troopers tried to communicate with Allegrini, who struck them with a vehicle, at which point one of the troopers shot Allegrini with a service pistol, police said. Allegrini was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police, who said both troopers suffered minor injuries.
Reagan Hocking, Allegrini’s girlfriend, in a Facebook post called for justice and questioned law enforcement’s narrative of the incident.

“This world, especially our police force system needs to be changed,” she said in the social media post. “These cops need to be held accountable for their actions.”
State police and the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office are investigating, according to authorities.
