• Mice, Droppings, Roaches Found At Brewery Ordered To Close In Philadelphia (patch.com) — Philadelphians who frequent Victory Brewing Philadelphia on the Parkway will find the taproom temporarily closed after city health inspectors reported mice, roaches, droppings and sanitation issues in multiple areas. The brewery twice failed inspections this week and must stay shut at least 48 hours each time while addressing pest control and cleanliness problems before the Philadelphia Health Department clears it to reopen.
   

• Philadelphia Housing Authority plans 85 affordable homes in Strawberry Mansion (northeasttimes.com) — The Philadelphia Housing Authority is moving ahead with 85 new affordable homes in Strawberry Mansion, bringing fully subsidized rentals and Turn the Key starter houses to long-vacant blocks near 27th and York. Backed by local officials but facing some community-friction over partnerships, construction on for-sale homes could begin this fall, with rental units targeted for 2028.
   

• Dolly Parton's Philadelphia legacy spans four decades of music and literacy (northeasttimes.com) — Dolly Parton's death is being felt deeply in Philadelphia, where she played major concerts from the Spectrum to the Mann Center and left a lasting mark on local fans.
