2 Gunmen Targeted Teen In Deadly SEPTA Shooting Monday Afternoon: Cops

A teenage boy was killed, and four others, including two more teens, were hurt when two people opened fired at a SEPTA bus Monday afternoon.

PHILADELPHIA — A teenager who was killed in a Monday afternoon shooting was targeted, Philadelphia Police said.

The shooting occurred at about 3:44 p.m. Monday at Ogontz and Godfrey avenues as a group of 15 to 20 teenagers were getting onto a Route 6 SEPTA bus, police said.

A 17-year-old boy died after being shot in the back in what police said was a targeted attack by two gunmen. NBC10 identified the slain teen as Dayemen Taylor, of the Fern Rock neighborhood.

Police said the gunmen were seen on video walking up to the bus before opening fire.

It's unclear if the gunmen were also teenagers, police said.

Also hurt were a 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-0ld boy, one of whom suffered a graze wound to his shoulder and the other to his backside. Both are in stable condition, police said.

Two women, 71 and 50, who were bystanders, were also injured by the gunfire, police said

The 71-year-old woman was shot in the forehead. She was taken to Einstein and is in stable condition, police said.

The other woman was grazed by a bullet on her right forearm. She is also in stable condition.

No arrests were made, and no weapons were found.
