2 Women Shot In Head At Jersey Shore; Eastern PA Man Charged

A 34-year-old Philadelphia man is accused of shooting two women in the head, killing one, Thursday in New Jersey, authorities said.

PHILADELPHIA — A Philadelphia man was charged with murder and attempted murder after two women were found shot in their heads on a jetty in Atlantic City early Thursday, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.

Gregg Page, 34, was also charged with weapons offenses in connection with the shootings. Two other men who were with him that night, brothers Ryan Schenck, 30, and Ramir Schenck, 27, also from Philadelphia, were charged with hindering apprehension.

It was 4:41 a.m. on Thursday when police responded to the area of 60 North Main Ave. for reports of severely injured women, authorities said.

Two women were found in the area of the jetty, authorities said. The first woman, 29-year-old Kamille Stewart of Pleasantville, was conscious with multiple wounds, officials said. She was taken to AtlantiCare Medical Center.

The second woman, 32-year-old Carley Elbert from Sewell, was unconscious and unresponsive, authorities said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said that both women appeared to have been shot in the head. The cause and manner of Elbert's death are pending an autopsy.

The investigation led detectives to Philadelphia that same day, where the three men were charged and taken into custody. They are all lodged in jail in Philadelphia pending extradition to New Jersey, officials said.

The relationship between the three men and the two women was unclear. Further details about the shooting were not immediately available.

This incident is currently being investigated by the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office's Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department. The Philadelphia Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigations (Philadelphia Office) also assisted with this investigation
