$20K In Cash Stolen In Late September Carjacking: Philly Police
The gunpoint carjacking occurred at a busy Ridge Avenue gas station in late September, police said.

PHILADELPHIA — Police in Philadelphia said a late September carjacking led to not only a vehicle being stolen, but also $20,000 in cash.
The incident occurred at about 2:30 p.m. Sept. 30 at the Conoco Gas Station, 1840 Ridge Ave.
The victims, a 58-year-old man and a 31-year-old man, were at the station when a white Acura MDX and a black Cadillac pulled up and parked at the pumps.

As one of the victims was walking back to their vehicle, a suspect in the passenger side of the Acura MDX ran towards him, armed with a gray and black handgun, police said.
The suspect demanded the vehicle's keys, got into the victim’s vehicle and fled west on Ridge Avenue, with the Acura following, police said.

The vehicle was then tracked to the 1900 block of North 23rd Street, where officers located the victim’s vehicle parked unattended.
Two bags containing about $20,000 from the gas station pick-ups were missing from the vehicle.
Also taken were the victims' wallets, which had ID and bank cards in them.
