2nd Street Closing Thursday For Old Cit Eats Block Party

PHILADELPHIA – The Old City Eats is set to begin with Old City bars and eateries offering food and drink specials each Thursday through Aug. 31. The kick off event will be held Thursday, June 21 and that means some roads will close.

Philadelphia Police said the Old City Eats Kick-Off Block Party will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on 2nd Street between Market and Chestnut streets.

The street will be closed starting at noon for event set up and won’t be open until approximately 11 p.m.

Police said a detail assigned to this event, but traffic in the area could be heavy at times.
