Three people were killed, all men ages 23, 29, and 33. Two of those killed were brothers, authorities said Monday.
Six others were hurt, and authorities said they are recovering from their injuries.
ABC News reports they range in age from 26 to 30.
"Every shooting and homicide in Philadelphia is painful to me, and my administration will not rest until every resident, in every neighborhood, feels safe in their community," Parker said on social media.
"This tragedy reminds us that while gun violence continues to decline in Philly and nationwide, we as elected and community leaders still have much work to do," District Attorney Larry Krasner said in a statement. "I thank the residents who have assisted investigators this weekend and urge residents to contact law enforcement immediately. We need your help to identify, arrest, and hold accountable the people responsible for this tragedy."
Philadelphia Police Commissioner said the city has a gun issue and that the department has been working to get guns off streets.
