3 Sought In Deadly May Shooting Of Teenager: Philadelphia Police

A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to arrests and convictions in the deadly shooting of a 16-year-old boy.

PHILADELPHIA — Authorities are offering a $20,000 reward leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the deadly shooting of a teenage boy earlier this year.

The deadly shooting occurred at about 8:38 p.m. Saturday, May 25 on the 1200 block of Fairmount Avenue.

A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot at that time and location by three suspects.

The three suspects drove up to the area in a silver Dodge Nitro SUV. Police said the vehicle was stolen about a month before the shooting.

They fired 25 rounds at a group of people, striking the victim, police said.

After the shooting, they got back into the Dodge and drove to the area of 16th and Thompson streets, where they were picked up by a dark Ford Taurus.

The Dodge was later found by authorities.

The Homicide Unit is seeking information on any group of individuals that were known to use a silver Dodge Nitro leading up to and around the time of the shooting, as well as a dark Ford Taurus.
