54-Mile-Per-Hour Winds Recorded In Philadelphia Monday
Monday's winds created many issues around the region, damaged buildings, knocking power out, closing schools, and more.
PHILADELPHIA — Some very strong winds were clocked in Philadelphia Monday during the intense weather, according to the National Weather Service.
At the Philadelphia International Airport at around 3:07 a.m. Monday, winds were clocked in at 54 miles per hour
The highest recorded wind gusts in the Philadelphia area were at 59 miles per hour in Lenhartsville, Berks County, Sunday night.

Monday's winds were powerful enough to knock part of a wall down in Philadelphia's Kensington neighborhood, send a tree crashing into a Delaware County home splitting it in two, rip a roof off a business in King of Prussia, and other damage around the Philadelphia region.
Power outages impacted thousands of local residents, even forcing a few schools to close early.
